Absent(minded)

AAAHHHHH!
I can't believe how fast time flies and how priorities shift.
Turns out having a kid totally changes your life. In those quiet moments when he's sound asleep, you either do the dishes as quietly as you can or snuggle him close and catch a few zzzzz's yourself. This doesn't leave much time for blogging or Facebook. I thought there would be time to occassionally update while I worked 2 days a week, but apparently packing all of my duties into the 2 days I'm at work is a little more challenging than I thought it would be.
You know how the entire time you are pregnant, people are telling you those crazy stories about when they were pregnant and filling your head with "urban myths of pregnancy??" It turns out, that doesn't stop once you've given birth. People are now filling my head with the myths of infancy.

"When my kids were born, I actually lost weight! I walked out of the hospital the same day... in my jeans I wore the night I got pregnant!"

"When so and so was born, they slept through the night from the first night they came home from the hospital. Fell asleep as soon as you laid 'em in the crib and slept until you went and got 'em!"

These things are cruel, and most likely completely untrue, but people always want to offer their information!
If you are still checking my blog, I appreciate you, and will try to get some new pictures up because I have the cutest little boy and I would love to share him with you!

  2. Love baby pics... even if I've never met ya.

I hated those myths... and they never stop... mine are 8 and 10.... and I'm still getting the "stories"

Mom always says that it doesn't get easier, it just gets different. Welcome to motherhood, you're in good company. :)
