Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Gophers

What do good Montana girls do on the 4th of July??
Slaughtering gophers atop 4 wheelers in the mountains sounds good to me! We talked my parents into parlaying the reunion at the Battleridge Campground to some gopher hunting on 4 wheelers.

My parents on their killing machine.

It was a little chilly up in the mountains and the grass was a little too long to see the little buggers, but we certainly made due with a view like this.

We finished attempting to murder the gophers and decided to take a little trail ride. It was fun and refreshing to bound through the trees and enjoy the view along with the fresh air.
I couldn't help but think this was the best possible way to spend an Independence Day. We exercised our right to bear arms and took advantage of this beautiful state of ours.

  1. Nothing like a little cold blooded murder to pay homage to our founding fathers. I hope you wore your camo.

  3. Hell ya! Killing gophers is the best... a good way to pay homage to our home state at the very least.
